A Sunset Portrait Session in Kapalua Maui

“Life is the flower for which love is the honey.”

Victor Hugo

At the end of each year it is one of the busiest times here on island yet with pockets of quiet. Each pause I like to take time to invest in my business or fuel my creative soul - This year I decided on putting together a portrait session.

Normally for styled shoots there are a number of other wonderful local vendors involved, a month or two of planning, and it is a bit more of an elaborate idea. Since 2021 everything has felt a bit like a whirlwind with how go go go my schedule has been so for this styled session it came together within 4 days of low key planning.

I knew I did want to include at least one local vendor with a beautiful lei po’o from Waiakoa Wildflowers. With a homemade bouquet thanks to Whole Foods, an outfit from Amazon, and some magical hair + makeup skills by a talented friend this session came to life.

It was a gorgeous example of what a bridal portrait session can be here on island whether in a field, under some palms, or on a beach at sunset - highlighting the beauty Hawaii has to offer.
